Topsail Island and Surf City's Soundside Park was the site of the Fourth of July celebration, complete with fireworks held on July 3rd, 2008. Surf Mayor Zander Guy and members of the council opened the festivities, which ended with a fantastic fireworks display. We live on the ICWW and it was so cool to see the all the boats making their way up the ditch to position themselves in the perfect spot from which to watch the display. The town of Holly Ridge held their celebration on the Fourth, as did Wilmington, just 40 minutes away.

There is a lot to do here on Topsail Island, not all of it on the beach. Next post... the Missiles and More Museum!
